Castaway Gift Voucherscan be bought for a specific event, activity or as a non-specific gift.
A voucher for an event costs the same as the corresponding place at
the event. A non-specific voucher has a value chosen by the purchaser.
Vouchers have no expiry date but one bought for a specific event
must be used 7 days before the event to guarantee the place at that
event otherwise it reverts to a non-specific type. If a place at the
event of the specified type is still available the voucher can still be
used to purchase it.
Where a voucher has been purchased for a specific event or activity, it
can only be redeemed against the specific event or activity it was
purchased for. A non-specific voucher can be used to purchase any
event or activity available on the site under the following
conditions:-
A voucher is only valid for ONE transaction.
A voucher can be used against the purchase of one or more items.
If the value of a voucher is equal to the total in a single purchase then all items are paid.
If the value of a voucher is less than the total for the purchase the user must pay the difference.
If the value of a voucher is greater than the total of the purchase then all items are paid for and the excess is lost.
Using a Voucher Each voucher is supplied as an email with a reference code defined within it.
A voucher can be given to another person by simply forwarding the entire email.
Clicking the link in the email will open the Castaway website and
automatically credit the value of the voucher. The voucher will only be
marked as used if the user completes a purchase.
Alternatively a user on the Castaway website can enter a voucher
code from an email on the booking form to use its value to pay for all
or part of an event or activity.
The system maintains a list of all open valid vouchers and
validates all codes entered, once a voucher has been used it will not
be accepted again, if you believe someone has used a voucher
fraudulently please contact Castaway Marketing as soon as possible.
